7 things you routinely forget as a CrossFitter:
1. Your reps
What round is this? How many reps left? Your capacity for simple arithmetic can be somewhat impaired mid-way through Murph.
2. How bad it actually was
Only moments ago you were staring at the bar thinking you’d rather die than attempt to get it up over your head one more time. This is the worst WOD of your life. F*ck your life. Yet when the work is done, you’re in the face of a fellow CrossFitter finishing the very same workout screaming ‘pick up the bar!’ ‘light weight’, ‘come on’, ‘move it’, ‘easy’. How quickly we forget it was anything but.
3. Your one rep max
There are a hundred other members at the gym, do you really expect the coach to remember our one rep max for every lift? You can’t even remember your own.
4. To breathe
So focused on feet, grip, knees, back shoulders and fast elbows, you often forget to just breathe.
5. Where you came from
The globo gym. That’s right buddy. Don’t bash it. Once upon a time, you had a membership to a globo gym.
6. Paleo principles after too many tequila’s
Caveman ate pizza, right?
7. WOD socks
…rope climbs. Shit.
